Expect the 5th generation Hyundai Elantra to arrive in Philippine shores this 2011. This is according to Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official Philippine distributor of Hyundai cars.
The world first caught sight of the 2011 Hyundai Elantra at the Busan International Motor Show held in South Korea in April 2010 where it carried the name Avante. It was later on introduced to the US market in the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show held in November last year.
The new Hyundai Elantra sports the “Wind Craft” design that Hyundai is starting to get famous for. It will be powered by a 1.6L engine which uses the gamma gasoline direct injection technology coupled with six-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive system.
The Elantra is considered as Hyundai’s best-selling car in the world with sales reaching six million units since it was first released in 1990.
