Can you think of a Microsoft Windows XP error that is worse than their Blue Screen of Death? Recently, we encountered one, and we are still trying to figure out what caused the error.
I say it’s worse than the Blue Screen of Death because this error left you clueless. I’m talking about Windows XP suddenly hanging or freezing and you can’t do anything but to restart it. And after a few minutes, it will hang/freeze again and you are clueless what’s going on.
The Blue Screen of Death at least give you some useful information on how to deal with them, but with this hanging problem, we are totally clueless. The Event Logs don’t give us the logs. The Task Manager is at normal, no maximum CPU and memory usage. It simply hangs after a few minutes.
I suspect some hardware issues, but what particular hardware, we still need to find out. I’ll update this post when it is fixed.
On a sidenote, do you know that there is a Blue Screen Of Death screen saver? You can download it here. Download it, install it on your PC and set it for one minute. Watch someone’s reaction as he uses your computer and sees the Blue Screen Of Death after taking a coffee break for a minute. 🙂
I use that screen saver to play practical jokes on my friends. Haha.
