The Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) (aka Calabarzon road) which made traveling from Sto. Tomas, Batangas to Lipa City, Batangas faster is now extended up to Balagtas, Batangas, just in front of the Diversion road.
Driving from Lipa City to Balagtas takes me around 30 minutes via the provincial road. With that extension, I think, I’ll be saving some 20 minutes of my time. The extension was opened yesterday. If my memory serves me right, the toll fee from Sto. Tomas to Balagtas for a type 1 vehicle is Php 44. The rates were already displayed 2 weeks ago. I will surely use this extension when going home to Batangas tomorrow.
Just a side note. Why can’t they make it a toll-free highway? Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t they using our taxes for paying for those roads in the first place? They used our money to build the roads and still they collect toll fee so we can use it?
I think, handle pa nang ibang organization ‘to tapos handle na nung government ang organization. Gulo noh?! Hehehe… 😆 Anyways, salamat sa update! 😉
ayos! promote na natin ang batangas.
ang alam ko, kaya may toll fee ay dahil yun ang ginagamit nila sa subsequent repairs ng tollway.
