Well, every big name in blogosphere joined, from Shoemoney, to John Chow and Darren Rowse. So, I thought I should join also, otherwise, the big names will not be complete. Harharhar! Just kidding.
But yes, I joined because I am influenced by these big names in blogosphere. If they think they can benefit from it, so, I should join too. So, yes, I joined Blogrush yesterday.
Well, I just got a little problem, the widget is not customizable at the moment and I cannot let it fit on my sidebar. It looks so ugly on the sidebar that I decided to remove it. Anyway, I was able to give its place on the permalink page. My permalink pages are getting more hits than the homepage, so I’ll earn a decent amount of credits from there too. But it is still better if we can at least resize the widget so that it can fit on our sidebar. I’m not willing to change my theme just for the widget.
So far, after one day, did it increase my traffic? Yes! 3 new visitors came. Hahaha! Well, I’m just starting with this thing, so I hope, more visitors come as I gained more impressions. Anyway, if you don’t know what I’m talking about, go over and click this link so that you’ll know what this Blogrush thing is all about.
Questions I have heard so far. Is this against Google Adsense TOS? Someone asked Google and they give no definitive answer. Someone said it might violate the TOS. Read the comments on that blog post and you’ll see different opinions, including Shoemoney’s stand on it saying “You know godamn good and well there is not a chance in hell Google Adsense will ban anyone for this.” As for me, it is not a traffic exchange program. No one is forced to visit another website in exchange of a traffic. We are simply exchanging links from our RSS feeds, giving our blog more exposure, and hopefully more visitors. The traffic is not a guarantee to this. You’ll just have your blog more exposure because your RSS feeds will be seen all over the blogosphere that runs the Blogrush widget. Well, I guess, to gain benefit from this is to create attractive title for your posts that will entice the readers on clicking it from the widget.
Ok, enough said. If you haven’t joined yet, join now! I’m taking Shoemoney’s word for it that there is not a chance in hell Google Adsense will ban anyone for this. So, let’s start blogrushing!
