So, you bought a domain name and a web hosting with cPanel and free e-mail address. The problem is you hate the webmail interface. You are either tied to Squirrel Mail or Horde. Of course, you can setup your Microsoft Outlook to receive the e-mail using the POP3 protocol, but the thing is, you want a kick-ass webmail interface, so that you can check your mail anywhere without tiring your eyes on the lame interface of your webmail.
How about having a Gmail interface? Yes, it’s possible. Now, you can configure your e-mail with your domain name and use Gmail interface to send and receive e-mail. You get 2GB free e-mail storage up to 100 user accounts. It’s all free! How? Use Google Apps. It is as simple as signing-up, verifying your ownership of the domain by simply uploading an html file, and changing your MX records on cPanel. After that, you can create as many as 100 user e-mail accounts.
I’ve done that on this blog, and you can check my login page at http://mail.macuha.com. The original login page URL was quite long, so I made an easy to remember link on my blog and just redirect it there. I already made e-mail accounts for my brother. Anyone with Macuha surname who wants one? yourname(at)macuha(dot)com surely will be better than your usual @yahoo.com or @gmail.com account.

Excellent post. A lot of people don’t realize that you can link up your cpanel hosting account (or any type of hosting / domain) with Google Aps.
Thanks for thanks for the excellent information!
