One week had passed since I arrived here in Hong Kong. Even it’s the nth time that I’ve been here in Hong Kong, this is the first time that I was able to roam around and see some of the tourist destinations here in Hong Kong.
Last Wednesday, we went to Causeway Bay. We went to this place they called 188 where they sell different electronic gadgets. I think, this seems to be the Greenhills of Hong Kong. XBox 360, Playstations, Wii, Nintendo DS, computer peripherals and more can be found here. Well, I just look at them and did not buy anything. I’m on a tight budget eh, you know, I almost spent all my extra income for the hospital bills last month. Well, at least I already know where to go if I want to buy those stuff in the near future.
We also went to ToysRUs inside Windsor mall. Of course, there are many toys in there. They are selling Transformer robots. They have this Optimus Prime helmet with a voice changer, that when you wear it, your voice will sound like Optimus Prime. Kenneth took a picture of me wearing that helmet. I’ll show you the picture once Kenneth update his online photo gallery.
Onwards, we went to Tsim Shang Tsui the next day (Thursday). We went there via ferry boat. This is the first time that I’ve been to that place too. They have this Avenue Of Stars where famous Chinese celebrities such as Jackie Chan and Jet Li have there hand prints on the street. This place has a good view of Hong Kong island. Lots of pictures taken, just wait for it, I’ll update this blog post when the pictures are already available.
Yesterday, we went to Mong Kok. I’ve been to this place before when I bought a jacket for my former officemate. The place is still the same. Full of people roaming around looking for something they want to buy. There are plenty of stores here selling shoes, T-shirts, bags and electronic gadgets. We went home around 1:00AM.
Today, I have nothing to do. No office work. So, I am here blogging in our internet-enabled apartment.
On Monday, we’ll go to Shenzhen, and will stay there for 5 days. We’ll just visit Richard and fix some of his problems with our application there.
I was contemplating to buy a Nintendo DS Lite before I go back to Philippines. I think, it will be a perfect birthday gift for myself. Of course, my June earnings in Google Adsense will have to pay for that! Thank God there’s Adsense, hehe.
